Doplr collects information to aid in understanding team effectiveness, and providing relevant tips and recommendations to improve. We collect information from multiple sources described below.
When signing up with Doplr, we request the Client provide information about the Client’s organization such as company name, team name, employee name, employee emails, employee start-dates, organizational chart including job titles and direct reports.
Users of our Services respond to survey questions about team dynamics and submit other information which may include contact information, employment information, personal information, comments, feedback, and suggestions (collectively “Responses”).
We do not reveal which Responses are associated with which user, email address, Slack ID, or IP address. From time to time, if the Response rate is low, Users or Clients may be able to identify the identity of the individual(s) who responded.
Users have access to all their own information, such as responses and Slack network, along with benchmarks and trends for questions a User has responded to.
Doplr uses Slack’s API to perform organizational network analysis (ONA) to provide visualizations and analysis on the Client’s informal communication network. When using Slack, Doplr collects data to estimate a variety of metrics like degrees of separation, measures of User centrality and gregariousness, channel activity trends such as energy and engagement.
When use use Doplr Services, we receive certain usage data. This includes information about your interaction with the Services, for example, when you viewed or searched for content, responded to a survey question, logged onto the website or dashboard.
Doplr uses automated data collection tools like Cookies and similar technologies to collect certain information user information from our website and dashboard in order to improve our services.
Using the information, we collect from Clients and Users, we are able to deliver Services to you and honor our Terms of Service contract with you. For example, we need to use Slack’s API to deliver catered tips and recommendations based on Responses collected. For advanced features like network analysis, we may use Slack’s API to identify gaps in communication in the Client’s organization.
The information we collect will be immediately used to personalize and improve the Services, and develop new ones. For example, we use the Slack App to deliver catered tips and recommendations based on Responses collected. As Users respond to more questions and Doplr collects more data, recommendations will become more tailored and relevant to individual Users.
We also use Data to make inferences and show you more relevant content. For example, information like team size and demographics allows us improve the relevancy of questions and recommendations Users receive from Doplr.
We use your information when needed to send you Service notifications and respond to you when you contact us.
We use the information we collect to promote the safety and security of the Services, our users, and other parties. For example, we may use the information to authenticate users, facilitate secure payments, protect against fraud and abuse, conduct audits, and enforce our terms and policies.
We store and maintain user Responses submitted to the Services and data collected through Slack API’s. Every User will have access to their own data, including Responses and Slack network analysis. Responses and Slack data are made available to other users from your organization including administrators and managers, based on their permitted level of access.
We may disclose aggregated, anonymized, personally non-identifiable data including but not limited to aggregated Responses, anonymized network maps, User demographics for market research, academic research, benchmarking, forecasting, and trend identification. In any such instances, we will not disclose any identifiable information about Users or Clients.

We retain your data as long as necessary to provide our Services and to comply with our legal obligations. Within thirty (30) days after your data is no longer needed to provide our Services or comply with our legal obligations, we anonymize and aggregate your data permanently. However, we reserve the right to delete or purge such data.
The security of your data and information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information submitted to us, intended to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.
